If I can add more than 5 stars I would definitely put more stars for their service. We had a family celebration lunch at Taro today and there were 13 of us, the entire meal was perfect and handled very well by the waitress and waiter. Thank you. We’ve booked the table in advance and no waiting was required on arrival. Waitress was very friendly and helpful. Proactively being helpful which was very rare to get these days. The food was AMAZING! Decent portions and sushi were so fresh. We had bentos as it would be a bit of everything. Fried stuff was hot and crispy, cold fish was fresh and chill. Size was very good, we all very satisfied. It was my mum’s 75th birthday, she had an operation not longer ago, so we wanted to make it special for her, it was her choice of having bento hence we’ve chosen this restaurant and it’s not even local to us. We e were so pleased it turned out so well. Thank you so much Taro. The manager was very helpful and assigned us a long table to sit together and thank you you and your team to make her special day extra special. Definitely will recommend and come back. Thank you.

Great place for sushi! We specifically liked the rolls more than the sashimi, but all were so good. We also ordered a couple of chicken plates which were tasty too. Portions are good.

My vegan ramen was delish! And the coconut and mango mochi was also very good. We had vegan gyoza and edemame beans for the table with a pot of green tea too. This was a really lovely place to go and watch, I can imagine returning even just by myself for a dinner as it was so relaxing.

Thoroughly enjoyed we had the wagyu beef bento and it was amazing would recommend honestly so tasty camt wait to come back. The staff were so friendly and welcoming a very good experience all round

As a foodie, I have been to so many restaurants but only a selective few got a review from me. Amazing and authentic japanese cuisine can be found here in Taro Brentwood High St. The staff were respectful and accommodating and just had a kind energy. You can take a peek at the chefs working on the food to ensure you that everything is newly cooked and fresh. The chefs were also very cheerful. The overall atmosphere was cozy and felt like a twist of modern and japanese culture. The cleanliness was a 10/10 and everything was just presentable and the interior of the restaurant just truly represents Japan itself. The food was delicious, the best of the menu being the wagyu beef steak bento box, it was truly worth the price as the wagyu beef they used was of top notch quality, the rest of the contents within the bento box were just satisfactory especially their rice. My favorite part was that the food was presentable, despite the busy restaurant, they still managed to put in extra effort into making their already scrumptious dishes look even more appetizing. This is my third time eating here and it surely won’t be the last.

Have been a long serving customer at the original Soho restaurant so I had high expectations of this place. It didn’t disappoint! Big bowls of deliciousness - highly recommend for Japanese bento box, ramen and sushi.

The staff were so polite, and greeted us with a warm welcome. They also checked on us and made sure everything was ok and that the food was to our liking. Our food came out swiftly, well prepared and the presentation was on point. Now, anybody that knows me, knows I absolutely LOVE sushi! Taro's sushi was AMAZING! That softshell crab (Spider Roll) , was the best one I've ever tasted. Even the raw salmon one (think it was Chefs Roll), was good and I don't even like raw sushi too much. I didn't even notice to be fair until my friend told me. That's how well prepared it was. The Duck Yakisoba was mouth watering. I only wish I got more broccoli as I love me some broccoli. The Duck was juicy, well cooked and was well presented. The drinks were lovely, spot on and they are not stingy with the alcohol. Love that! I can't remember what main dish my friend got but, it tasted good also. I enjoyed the atmosphere. We were like the only people there at one point so we kind of had the place to ourselves. Perfect! Everyone was so smiley and the whole place was lovely. I highly recommend eating here! I will definitely be going back there when I get the chance. Thank you for the delicious food and great experience!

This Japanese-style restaurant was really amazing, especially the food. The waiter was very kind, and the atmosphere was pretty calm. In addition to the atmosphere, the set-up was formal by the time I sat down with my kid. Also, the food was very delicious, especially the chicken curry. Overall with all these good points about everything, Taro is one of the amazing Japanese restaurant places I would go to, I really would recommend to people who love Japanese food!
